Incoming Faulty Parts (Central Warehouse)

When a faulty component is removed from a machine, it is transferred to the central warehouse. The system should automatically receive it into the MCWH/Stock/Faulty parts location. This is the correct procedure for faulty items, so no further action is required at this point.

After Repair: Moving to Repaired Location

Once the repair is completed, the item must be moved to the MCWH/Stock/New & Repaired parts location using an internal transfer.

Steps:

  • Go to Inventory > Transfers and click Create.

  • Set Operation Type to Repair

  • Choose the product you repaired and set the demand quantity (usually 1)

  • Click Mark as Todo in the top left corner

You can use the Log Note to document the type of repair performed.

This is especially helpful for serial number tracked components, as it supports traceability of faults and improves overall transparency in the repair process.

Serial Number Products

If the product is tracked by a serial number:

  • Click the hamburger icon (three lines) next to the product line.

  • Select the appropriate Serial Number before validating the transfer.
